Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to MediTrack ("the Service"), an open-source AI-powered medical report analysis platform developed and maintained by Kabir Gupta ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our"). MediTrack is made available at meditrack.in and ui.meditrack.in.

By accessing or using MediTrack, you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

MediTrack is an open-source project. The source code is available publicly and is governed by its respective open-source license. These Terms govern your use of the hosted Service, not the source code itself.

Section 02

Description of Service

MediTrack is an AI-powered tool that allows users to:

  • Upload medical laboratory reports in PDF, JPG, or PNG format
  • Receive simplified plain-language explanations of report values
  • Interact with their reports via text and voice conversation in English and Hindi
  • Generate short Hindi video summaries of their reports
  • Access basic health calculators for BMI, daily calories, and VO2 max estimation
  • Track their medical report history over time

MediTrack is designed to help users understand their medical reports more easily. It is not a medical service, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional medical advice.

Medical Disclaimer

⚠️ Most Important Section — Please Read Carefully

MediTrack is not a medical device, medical service, or healthcare provider. Nothing on MediTrack constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a doctor-patient relationship.

Specifically:

  • MediTrack does not diagnose any condition, disease, or disorder
  • MediTrack does not recommend medications, dosages, or treatments
  • MediTrack does not replace consultation with a qualified medical professional
  • AI-generated summaries and explanations are for informational and educational purposes only
  • All abnormal values shown by MediTrack should be discussed with a qualified doctor

In the event of a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately — do not rely on MediTrack.

The information provided by MediTrack is generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Always consult a licensed medical professional for any health concerns.

By using MediTrack, you acknowledge that you understand and accept these limitations.

Section 04

Eligibility

To use MediTrack you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a valid Indian mobile phone number (+91) for authentication
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction

MediTrack is currently designed and optimised for users in India. Use from outside India is permitted but certain features such as OTP delivery may not function correctly.

Section 05

User Accounts and Authentication

MediTrack uses phone number-based authentication. Your phone number is your unique identifier. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

Section 06

User Data and Privacy

6.1 Data We Collect

We collect your phone number, name (if provided), language preference, uploaded medical reports, report analysis results, and chat history.

6.2 How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your medical data to train AI models.

6.3 Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database and file storage). Files are stored in encrypted buckets. Data is transmitted over HTTPS at all times.

6.4 Data Retention and Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your reports, analyses, chat history, and generated videos will be permanently removed within 30 days.

6.5 Third-Party Services

MediTrack uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy and terms. By using MediTrack you acknowledge that your data may be processed by these services as necessary to provide the Service.

6.6 Compliance

MediTrack is designed to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023 of India. If you have concerns about how your data is processed please contact us.

Section 07

Uploaded Content

7.1 Your Ownership

You retain full ownership of all medical reports and data you upload to MediTrack.

7.2 License to Process

By uploading content you grant MediTrack a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and analyse your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

7.3 Prohibited Content

You must not upload content that:

  • Does not belong to you or a person for whom you have legal authority to act
  • Contains malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation
7.4 Accuracy

You are responsible for ensuring that reports you upload are genuine and unaltered. MediTrack is not responsible for errors caused by corrupted, unclear, or manipulated documents.

Section 08

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use MediTrack for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the Service
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service
  • Upload false or fraudulent medical reports
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
  • Use the Service to provide medical advice to third parties as if it were professional advice
  • Resell or commercialise access to the Service without written permission
Section 09

Open Source

MediTrack is an open-source project. The source code is made available under its designated open-source license. The following apply:

  • You are free to view, fork, and contribute to the source code under the terms of the applicable license
  • These Terms govern your use of the hosted Service at meditrack.in and ui.meditrack.in only
  • Running your own instance of MediTrack is permitted under the open-source license but the Developer provides no warranty or support for self-hosted instances
  • The open-source nature of the project does not grant you any rights to the MediTrack name, logo, or brand identity
Section 10

Intellectual Property

All design elements, branding, logos, and non-code content of MediTrack are the property of Kabir Gupta and may not be reproduced without permission. The underlying source code is governed by the open-source license under which it is released.

Section 11

AI-Generated Content

MediTrack uses artificial intelligence to generate report summaries, chat responses, and video narrations. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading
  • The AI may misread values from uploaded reports due to OCR limitations
  • AI responses should never be treated as authoritative medical information
  • The Developer is not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content
Section 12

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • MediTrack is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • The Developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service
  • The Developer is not liable for medical decisions made based on information provided by MediTrack
  • The Developer's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid to use the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim — as MediTrack is currently free to use, this amount is zero
Section 13

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kabir Gupta and any contributors to the MediTrack project from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Section 14

Service Availability

MediTrack is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted availability of the Service
  • Accuracy of AI-generated content
  • Delivery of OTP messages
  • Successful generation of video summaries for all report types

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

Section 15

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the Effective Date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Section 16

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of MediTrack shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

Section 18

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

MediTrack is a student-built open-source project. It is not affiliated with any hospital, laboratory, insurance company, or healthcare institution. Always consult a qualified doctor for medical advice.
